The small city Kemijärvi, located by the lake Kemijärvi, is the northernmost town in Finland. It is located in the Finnish province of Lapland, about 90 kilometers east of Rovaniemi. 50 km from Kemijärvi, the ski resort Pyhä-Luosto with 24 slopes, 12 lifts and a 150 km network of trails, is located. In summer, Kemijärvi is the starting point for hiking tours in the region of Northeastern Lapland.
